Historically, what is the reason the United Kingdom has the worst income equality of all countries considered first world?
>>

You just posted a picture of it.

It doesn't, the United States does.

The UK isn't that bad these days or since WW2 really.

homelessness still exists but people have healthcare and food in their bellies. Shitty parts of Glasgow or Liverpool are x10 better than parts of virginia or the US rustbelt.

The US has a worse suicide rate, more people dying from poverty/drugs/crime and zero healthcare for the plebs and children of plebs.

>Historically, what is the reason the United Kingdom has the worst income equality of all countries considered first world?

Southern England is racially superior due to Continental geneflow

There is no entreprenurial culture north of London or west of Oxford, the people are dull minded
>>
>>3078078

UK has less than 5000 people per year who sleep "on the streets". It just doesn't even compare to somewhere like America.

Income inequality is not a major problem.
Poverty is.
>>
>>3078000
A better question, is how and why there is still an aristocratic class in England. People who we will never know because we simply weren't born high enough. Plus the economic bubble of London sucks up all the money and leaves everyone else with nothing, partly thanks to the OP pic

>Income inequality is not a major problem.
>Poverty is.

Of course it is, the equality of income becides what the value of money is within a county.

Income inequality is the number one indicator of whether a country is politically unstable, much more so than absolute poverty.

It is the correct term to describe this cretinous creature. Its predecessor isn't much to be revered either...

The real question is, was frugalism or proto agriculture the start of class, class division and therefore poverty?
I mean one could argue the Romans definitely didn't help with the invasion of Britain and their use of enslaving a lot of Celtic people.

I mean it could actually stem more so from the days of imperialism which then trickles down to a societal level the middle class and even the working class have some sort of skewed manifest destiny that they are entitled to more simply because they did what they were told to at the right place and the right time. Britain's biggest problem right now is a problem of class, and I mean that must come from our use of a monarchy, it certainly wouldn't be helping, would it?

Though the queen lacks sovereignty anymore in regards to politics, we cannot forget that figure heads all throughout history have been extremely patriotic towards our past, mostly with the likes of our monarchs, the industrial revolution and like I said before our imperialism/ colonialism. These are extremely bourgeoisie enterprises in which Britain has been founded upon.

I like to think of Britan as some sort of snaky highschool friend like Regina George from mean girls.

So TL;DR

BRITANS A FUCKING SNAKE WHOS ONLY OUT FOR THEIR OWN BACK.

Modern context: Career politics makes fucking the people over whilst getting insanely rich through hiding tax off shore and remaining incredibly corrupt within the houses of parliament themselves.

(I hear they have a small coke problem in Parlament also...)

Was this graph made on a potato? No relevant information to go along with the results of the graph. Like for example, there is no time frame to the graph in question, that alone is a dead giveaway at the lack of validity within said graph. Citation needed.

Because it's imbedded in a site with that info in text.

Just Google "OECD by GINI)

Data is from the OECD.

Oh sorry for being a country which only cares about itself

Why the FUCK should my government give a shit about any other country? I would gladly watch the rest of the Earth burn in hell if it resulted in even a marginal benefit for Great Britain.
>>
>>3081537
Though if you include a list of all countries:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_income_equality
Seems there are still some things the US isn't #1 at, but we're working on it.

Still beat those pansy Brits, anyway you slice it though. (Though I think we even have more gays per capita.)
>>
as a "fellow Britfag" just shut your mouth...you lack any substance to your argument which is about the inequality of wealth in our country...and as someone whose been homeless twice through no fault of my own and also knows what it's like to go hungry, within the country I was born in, I ask you again...shut the fuck up or come back to me when you have a better argument.

damn the anonymity of this thread sure backfired on you didn't it?

It's because the British people have two distinct breeds living there

One is descended from the Anglo-Saxon, Norman, Viking conquerors. The other from local Celts.
The former is more innately gifted and the latter is quite dim witted.

Literally nothing you said has anything to do with whether inequality is caused by rent-seeking or not (or whether making money is "a lot of work", not that I would expect you to know what work is.)
If anything, the fact that you need to wait decades before you've made back your investment helps explain growing inequality.

>obviously there are more factors at play
wow! you mean the ratio of government spending to GDP isn't the sole factor that decides the economic success of a country? next thing you're going to tell me the amount they spend per capita matters, or even what they spend it on

>law of diminishing returns, there is only so much money you can throw at propaganda and campaign contributions
Completely wrong. It's a zero-sum game of chicken. That's why you end up with super PACs

>>
>>3078037
the labour voters and socialists spent the entire 70s on strike and protesting for more welfare and boo hooo.

UK's old heavy industry and mining was already collapsing. The strikes just made it worse. UK entered into the european common market, because of neo liberal free trade memes.

All Thatcher did was put them out of their misery.

Japan has some of the lowest income inequality in the Western World. Yes, Japan is Western, sort of.

Their executives are known for cutting their pay and living austerely when the company isn't doing well. In order to keep people employed and show solidarity with the workers.

they also have a lot of inefficiencies. since they want to keep employment up. when I lived there in 2006-2012. their government offices still did all the paper work by type writer and carbon paper.
>>
>>3082225

There's nothing wrong with British genes but I believe there is hybrid vigour from a British-Continental mix.

No one who is objective would think that people in isolated Welsh valleys or deepest Cornwall are as mentally capable as people from Hampshire or Kent.

Most Irish emigration to the USA was from Western Ireland, the most isolated from Norman-Viking-English geneflow (and before that, possibly more isolated from the Iberians who brought Celtic culture to Ireland). It's no coincidence that Irish Americans are one of the lowest achieving white ethnic groups in the USA due to their relatively low verbal IQ.
