Of all states in history, which one has the best ability to resist an alien invasion?

The question is not "Can they meaningfully resist an alien invasion?". It's "Which one would be the least worse at countering an alien invasion?"

Probably the US or Russia, being that we both have a lot of interceptors, surface to air missiles, and nuclear warheads.

Special mention goes to China on the off chance the old "drown them in corpses" maneuver works against aliens.

Nazi Germany/70s Soviet Union/North Korea
NG-Total war economy but shit tech for air-to-air combat
SU-Best chance through a combination of huge military and solid tech air-to-air.They had some great SPAAGs as well.
NK-It's a fortress nation. They could probably hide and Vietnam those Martians until the Will Smith manages to fly a nuke into the mothership.

Wouldn't a country like Nepal, Bhutan, Switzerland, or Liechtenstein survive well? If the aliens try to attack from the air, they can retreat into the mountains, which provide natural fortifications and cover. If you sent in a group of humans to the Himalayas they could theoretically go undetected for generations if they reverted back to pre-technology times and kept their heads low. I'd imagine the same could be said for the Rocky Mountains, Appalachians, and other mountain chains.

Honestly if it were a serious alien invasion with the purposes of extermination then we are all equally useless. They woukd just hit us with a hunk of rock going relatavistic speeds and destroy the planet.

The aliens would thing that they took a wrong turn and ended up back home
>>
They'd basically just take whatever spaces they wanted, bit by bit, whilst our habitat gets reduced more and more, just like we've done to apes.
