Frisia seems to cover most of the Netherlands above the Rhine and goes far into Germany.

In reality Frisia was only a small part in the Northern Netherlands, the rest consisted of the County of Holland, Zeeland, Cleve, the bishopric of Utrecht, the duchy of Guelders and a a few others which I don't remember.


In importance I wouldn't even think Frisia was of much importance compared to the Bishop of Utrecht, Count of Holland or duke of Guelders.

All of the black sea coast that was assigned to Alania should be Georgian, shirvan should be more south. North part of shirvan should be khundzia or be assigned to alania, at least. Trenton should be georgian vassal or protectorate.

It's quite a complicated setup. There were generally two very powerful kingdoms (what those kingdoms were in particular depends on the time period) ruled by prominent dynasties who acted as hegemons and the rest allied themselves with those two variously. Occasionally one very powerful King would rise up and exert control over the whole island, and they would be called the Ard Rí, or High King. The Uí Néill Dynasty was probably the most consistently powerful but they had their weaker moments too.

When one of the more powerful kingdoms seized control, like Munster towards the beginning of the 11th century, their power was probably comparable to any other kingdom of the period, but more generally Irish kingdoms were more like lesser fiefdoms in other countries.
