>didn't fully mobilize until 1943
>women didn't work in the factories >clusterfuck privately run military industrial complex unable to streamline production
>massive bloated bureaucracy permeating everything
Was there a more half-assed war effort?
>>3052170
>Wow, this war is getting harder.
>BETTER DIVERT RESOURCES TO ORCHESTRATE A METICULOUS MASS GENOCIDE
Hard to go to war when you guys are politically paranoid and jumping at every shadow.
>>3052170
Yeah, Japan was the ultimate paper tiger. They lasted about six months against the U.S. before getting utterly annihilated at Midway. Their soldiers were great at raping peasants but against organized opposition they were about as effective as the Italians.
>>3052219
Yeah that's why the Allied army in Southeast Asia could fend off the Japanese invasion, right? Oh wait.
>>3052170
And yet
>super high industrial efficiency in every fucking HoI game.
>>3052232
> Engl*sh
> Fighting on land after 1415
> Not making complete idiots out of themselves
>>3052170
None of the major powers had their shit together until 1944, Germany wasn't alone.
You know what? We don't have enough fronts, I think declaring war on two of the biggest powers of the industrialized age is a fine way of improving this state of things.
>>3052365
Hmmm, I thought British aircraft production was higher in 44 than 43.
>>3052374
If there were moon aliens Hitler would have wanted to fight them too.
>>3052365
For the country that actually planned to start this shit, you'd think they'd have their shit more together than everyone else.
>>3052385
>some retard thinking that the Allies we're the good guys
Kek. Fucking scum.
>>3052404
You could at least put some effort in justifying your condescension.
>>3052385
You could say the same about Japan and the Soviets, too, though.
>>3052436
Japan can be somewhat justified in that before their conquests, their supply of raw materials was heavily constricted.
>>3052497
Fair enough.
>>3052170
You should read Wages of Destruction; point #1 simply isn't true, and point #2, while technically true, ignores that German women workplace participation was higher than either the UK or the U.S., just primarily in agriculture and not manufacturing.
>>3052385
Germany thought the British would accept the end of the war after they took France. Britain had no incentive to surrender after the Battle of Britain though, besides the expense of the war. Of course, that ended up destroying the entire empire, but they didn't really see that coming.
>be invading a country
>population of said country overjoyed with your presence and treating you as liberators
>LOL, TIME TO GENOCIDE
really activates the almonds
>>3052436
When operation Barbarossa was launched the Soviets had over a 3 to 1 advantage in tanks and aircraft.
Germany wasn't ready for war in 1939 and hitler didn't want to affect the civilians, he wanted It to be as if there was no war going on. I'm not sure but some severivces like the Air Force and Navy
said they wouldnt have been ready till like 1945-47.
>>3052219
This is a douchey way to put it, but yeah. That's all true. Japan had been able to create one excellent fleet once, but had neither the means to make more ships in substantial qualities nor the facilities to produce quality crews at a swift pace. The Americans could do both and buried them.
>>3052374
Man, look how France went down. Now imagine you're Hitler. The French are the goddamn boogeyman and all the might of your frankly amazing army couldn't overcome them in ww1. Now consider the attitude towards Russia. They were seen as a joke country. No wonder he thought he could crush them, same as the French. Easier. Russia is frontloaded on the European side and it all looks so simple on the map.
>>3052570
This. OP get yourself an education before you go spouting shit around here again.
>>3053252
Why didn't he just wait?
>>3053664
The Soviet Union was growing much too quickly economically and militarily.
>>3053667
So Hitler feared the commie warrior?
>>3053664
He needed money for dem pogroms
>>3053664
>>3053667
Also, he wanted to have the war and his new world order before he got too old.
The old guard lead by Hans Oster almost had a coup to remove Hitler if he went to war over the sudeten land because they believed a war in '38 was unwinnable.
Hitlers popularity and prestige became too great after the munich agreemeant which got him what he wanted without war, that a coup was deemed impossible to pull off without creating a civil war.
Most generals didnt think the war would be winnable until the mid 40s
You have to remember though that the Naxi economic miracle was built off borrowed money and military expansion and it was assumed the economy was about to burst.
Expansion for money and resources through war was a necessity and thus an inevitability.
>>3053678
Everyone feared the communist
Its in their fucking manifesto to spread their horrific disease like ideology across the entire globe
>>3052365
Oh man, Japan really woke up a slumbering dragon
>>3052250
It's just part of game balance. If you don't artificially buff certain nations, like for example Germany, which would be each time raped by France and Poland without it.
>>3052365
In case anyone is interested what kind of planes USSR produced
>>3052365
The USA really was a monster. Jesus.
>>3052404
Poor quality shitpost.
A german victory would have lead to an internal power struggle within the reich when Hitler shit himself to death
>>3053667
lol this is the same line of reasoning von Moltke gave to attack Russia in WWI. (Or was it von Ludendorff?)
>>3052365
>Let's attack Pearl Harbour, what could go wrong?
>>3053267
To give the Japs some credit they were good at defense-in-depth after Guadalcanal and Saipan, on Tarawa the Marines suffered a thousand casualties in just 3 days. The Marines and Navy damn near killed the entire Japanese garrison though, I'm not sure how much of it was the Marines tearing out every single Jap out of their holes and how much of it was the Navy blowing them to oblivion though
>>3052404
I bet you still believe Hitler had to invade Poland to save some poor German minorities too
>Poland is treating a small minorities of Germans along our border badly?
>Lets invade the whole country and violently oppress the entire fucking population!
>What could go wrong!
>>3052497
Also, Japan was at least realistic in that they knew any war that came down to production, they would lose.
