Am a /his/ brainlet
Explain to me why Anna Karenina is seen as such an important work in literature. From my viewpoint it seems like a novel filled with really stockish characters and a pretty damn cliche plot, albeit one controlled pretty well.
Did the novel pioneer all these things? Did it have some really delightful voice that I can only experience if I read it in russian? Or is it something else?
Pic unrelated
