a region that produced more livestock was slightly more prosperous, drovers and shepherds would have more protein in their diet, horses and freedom of movement than their soil tilling cousins, however endemic cattle raids caused problems in some areas

Flanders had lots of burghers, the Italian states had lots of aristocrats but then a larger poor rich divide, pre 1066 England everyone lives in a house made of shit, post 1066 England people live in houses made of mud if poor or stone if rich, then everyone is stone once the castles aren't needed. Bohemia and Poland Lithuania commonwealth was also quite nice. HRE duchies had high poor rich divide whilst bishoprics and republics had a slightly lower but still high divide
