what would the world be like if Huey Long didn't get assassinated and became president?
Every man a king!

Real Answer: not much difference, he wasn't nearly as radical as people make him out to be. Hell, the biggest reason he got assassinated is because he was against racial segregation, which was a very dangerous position for a southern politician to take during that time period.

would it be possible that under Long he US would enter WW2? Long was an isolationist so it's definitely a possibility

Okay, so let's assume that Long becomes president and maintains an isolationist policy. What happens next? Well, on December 1941, Japan bombs Pearl Harbor, and then Germany declares war on the US, at which point Huey is obliged to respond. So unless Huey Long somehow prevents Pearl Harbor from occurring, America will still end up in the war. It's also important to remember when Huey died in 1935, which is when isolationism in America (and appeasement in Europe) was still very strong. We unfortunately don't know for certain how Huey Long would have reacted to events like Hitler annexing Czechoslovakia because he simply wasn't around to provide comment.
