/his/ have you ever talked to an older person about history?
I used to work in a healthcare facility about a year back and I got to talk to a lot of older people. I've met a woman who was born in the 1920s and we used to talk about her growing up during that time, it was pretty interesting.
Talked to a few 'nam vets and even got to talk to a black ww2 airborne veteran who also fought in Korea and the man married a Korean woman.
There was also a woman who was 104 but her conditions wasn't too well so I really couldn't talk to her.
Of course there's also my grandparents but they don't say much.

Just my grandparents really. Hearing how they lived through the Great Depression is pretty sad then going to fight in the War and seeing the camps. After talking about it, it seems like my life is meaningless and uneventful.
