To be fair there WERE Asians who supported Japan initially: Indonesia and Vietnam lived under cruel Dutch and French regimes that they initially threw in their support for the Jappos. Thailand entered WWII on Japan's side to relieve French Indochina of Irredentist claims. All came to regret it when the economic slavery and abuses fucking happened. There's also that weird episode with Indian nationalists.

Then you had places which didn't like Japan at the very beginning. China was fucking invaded by Nips which started the whole thing to begin with. The Philippines was in the process of being granted independence by the Americans when the Japshits brought war to their shores.

The Axis really has this dumb tendency to alienate foreign support, really. With Japan dumber than Nazi Germany.

Meanwhile the only people who bled for Japan was Japan. Hell when the allies were liberating the Philippines, the Philippine Second Republic's (the pet regime in Fliplands) army folded up and deserted.
