How many times do I have to say it. If you go down South to Upper Egypt, the people you see are darker than north. Going 100% from the artwork which I've autistically studied, it's clear that the darker type you see in Upper Egypt today was the majority/norm throughout first several kingdoms. I think that pretty much all Egyptians are very proud of their heritage and hold the Ancient Egyptians in high regard. I don't think there are any Christian or Muslim Egyptians who are ashamed of their pagan past, however they are convinced that their current religion is superior. There have been Egyptian authors (mostly Muslim) who have tried to tie their religion to the religion of Ancient Egyptians.

So as much as everyone wants some narrative to be fulfilled by their ancestors piece of clay being some shared starting place for the folks who wound up in Egypt, it's just a really old group of people who may very well not have lived there to begin with.

As historians, we should care how these people thought of their ancestors--where they felt they'd come from, true or not--and how they interpreted racio-ethnic divides, made meaning of their differences.

Anyone trying to claim "muh AEgypts" as part of some personal crusade has already abandoned objectivity and attempting to cultivate a historically appropriate lens, thus tainting their research and arguments through a clearly desired result they'll bend the data towards wittingly or unwittingly.

Pre dynastic Egypt was invaded by levantines, which helped kick start dynastic Egypt. Practically all the labor force for Egypt was taken from points south. Nubians and Ethiopians(the real Jews) made up the indigenous and majority of the ancient population.
