If a right wing dictatorship is apparently superior to socialism, why are Mediterranean and South American countries so poor and underdeveloped? Even Eastern European countries slowly catching up even though they were commie shitholes almost three decades ago.

But socialism IS right wing dictatorship, anon.

It's not whether a nation is a dictatorship or democratic, it's how much economic freedom it has that determines how prosperous it is.

I don't get it. Greece and Portugal are the only outliers (poverty and dictatorship) yet it's still better off than most of the eastern bloc?
Then there's Spain and Italy...
Are you taking the piss?

Somalia is the result of a failed socialist state.

Right, because we can all see how magnificent Malesia, Colombia and Peru are, nevermind borderline anarchic places who still count as economically free, because you know, anarchy.
A more likely scenario is that the more advanced an economy is, the more free it tends to become, since society and the market have grown too organized and indirectly controlled to allow too much mispractice and international interference.
None of the current economic powers started up as economically liberal.
