Obviously the CSA should have won. They had the first official group of free black volunteers in the civil war. They paid blacks equally to whites, whereas the north didn't. Most of them, including their top generals were not slaveholders. The union was just fighting to keep the south in submission to them, even Lincoln was quoted as saying as much. The union committed not just violations of civil liberties of northerners, but horrible war crimes against women and children in the south.

the war was about preserving slavery according to the CSA
I wish the CSA won so Anglo-America wouldn't have spread it's plague all over the world.

Think this is what was meant
"If I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do it, and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing some and leaving others alone I would also do that"

There is a difference between "preserve the union" and "keep the south in submission"
The South had the option to choose the former but chose the latter.
