Weight of chains is trash tho. While (((he))) does give a few valid points, it's still a movie made specifically for Serbs as confirmation bias to the biggest Serbian demographic, middle aged people who think "the west did everything, we have to go back to communism".
The goal is not to make an accurate representation of the situation, and it's not a propaganda film for foreigners. The movie tells the people it's marketed for what they want to hear. The director is using it for self promotion.
Just you wait the director of the movie will run for president if not in the next election, then certainly after a few election cycles.
He's deepthroating Marx, Tito and Milosevic to eventually completely take over the voting base of the Socialists and the Radicals.

Also, if you know Serbo-Croatian, i recommend watching a series of tv shows called "Raspakivanje", unpacking. You can find them on youtube, it "unpacks" various figures in Serbian politics. It showed me a side of Mladic and Karadzic i never knew about.
It also shed some light on the various opposition factions (to Milosevic) in Serbia (they ranged from leftists, to monarchists, to liberals and the far right).

He's currently making a sequel to the sequel, and he's asking for donations, i bet he'll charge for that one too.
After crying for over a year on social media he got it aired once on Serbian tv, he proclaimed it as victory for the "truth", but he's still taking down clips from it for copyright :^)

I don't know it there's a documentary about that, but my mom told me a very similar story once, she said it's a "theory". It came about because Tito had a trace of a strange accent.

Try Milosevic: The People's Tyrant

"The Impossible Country" is a great read. It's written by a guy who was traveling in Yugoslavia from a bit after the death of Tito until right before things got really bad.
