fascism relies on violence to exist
>>
>>2871784
Because the only reason that fascism is vilified today is because
>they lost
>they killed people
Had the Fascists won the war or even survived, Fascism would perhaps not be loved but certainly not (as) hated.
>>
So many people? Fascist's executed grand total of 26 people between 1926 and 1943, what the fuck are you on? War - first on Ethiopia - and then involment in WW2 is of course another matter.
You obviously mean either Bolsheviks or National Socialists.
Distinction is not meaningful of course, because they're all socialists, but credit where credit is due: Mussolini had miniscule amount of people killed compared to his merry friends Uljanov, Dzugasvili and Hitler.
>>
>>2871936
Execution is not what is discussed here - killing is. And WW2 was most certainly the caused by fascism.
>>
>>2871971
WW2 was caused - and started - by Russian Bolsheviks and German National Socialists together, hand in hand, not by Italian Fascists.
The Ethiopian adventure was of course doing of Fascists and of no-one else.
>>
>>2871744
Kind of like Italian fascism. Unfavourably because it was after all a dictatorship, but still brought as "the good old days when there was order", when people get upset with current politics.
>>
>>2871936
National socialism and national Bolshevism both can, in the scheme of things, be included in the same lot as fascism.
>>
>>2871744
as a lot of empty talk
>>
>>2871744
It would fade into obscurity after a while. If anything it would be less hated than communism.
>>
>>2871936
The Falange definitely executed way more than that in the Civil War period.
>>
>>2871744
How would comunism look today if it hadnt killed so many people? I hope this helps you see how retarded your question is
>>
>>2871744
Communism killed far more people than Fascism ever did, and yet Fascism is still looked upon more negatively than Communism by most people, at least here in the West. The liberal narrative says that it's worse to be racist than it is to deliberately starve 10 million people to death.
>>2872134
Basically this
>>
>>2872164
>le holodomor was intentional meme

Literal Nazi propaganda.
>>
>>2872164
>starve 10 million people to death.
>Only 7.5 million people died in the famine
What did he mean by this
>>
>>2871744
Probably like Baathism and Kemalism a local european thing which did much good and some bad if you ask the families of those who had relatives that were targeted.
>>
>>2872247
>everyone says that Stalin was worse than Hitler, so I'm gonna be a contrarian because I'm special and unique!!!
>>
>>2872267
The fact that the Holodomor was not a genocide is not even a controversial position.

And Stalin didn't kill more people than Hitler.
>>
>>2871869
Not really, you act like people weren't dismissing fascism as a meme in the 1920s and 1930s.
>>
>>2871989
>implying the "italians" weren't behind it all

Probably viewed as totalitarian. It'd still be looked on unfavourably, but not as hated.

>>2871936
The Nazis weren't socialist m8.
>>
>>2872255
Figures are estimated between 7 to 10 million. Nobody knows the exact number, although a recent study said it was about 10 million.
>>
>>2872282
>Figures are estimated between 7 to 10 million.
What are you talking about? figure estimates between 2.4 and 7.5 million died in the famine
.
>>
>>2872273
>The fact that the Holodomor was not a genocide is not even a controversial position.
You sound like those Armenian genocide deniers who claim it "technically" wasn't a genocide because the Turks never intended to wipe Armenians out of the gene pool and therefore it somehow never even happened.

>And Stalin didn't kill more people than Hitler.
What the fuck? Even the most curved-nosed Holocaust historian agrees that Stalin killed more people than Hitler. What are you talking about?
>>
>>2872288
Yeah, one of the figures do, which is apparently the one you found most fitting to your narrative, therefore its the correct one. But the general figure states it's between 7 and 10.
>>
>>2871744
As very ineffectual. Get what I mean?
>>
Probably popular in Europe, but hated in America
>>
>>2871751
Doubtful, fascism attacks both neo-progressives intellectuals (who are virulently vocal) and consumerist corporations (who have money).
>>
>>2871744
Probably the same as Kemalism.
There's genuinely really nothing wrong with it in ideals, Italy was going just fine, it was the tendancy for revanchism that was the problem.

If fascism stuck to that idealist futurist shit they would have had something

but whenever a group takes power they always get corrupt and lose sight
>>
>>2872851
Revanchism wasn't necessarily the problem. It can be done right, although I agree that it was what lead to the downfall of Fascism.
>>
>>2872164
Why not instead of saying all of the west, say specifically Western Europe. God is it annoying to be a communist in the US, constantly getting strawmanned and never being taken seriously. Our authoritarian hyper-nationalists, however, are given a platform.

>waaaah waaaaah we don't have a platform even though the media favours us and covers up our crimes
When will leftists get over this victim complex that makes them think they're living the 50's?It's not communists who are being attacked in public simply for their political views. Go to your local university, I'm sure they'd give you a platform.

And when tens of millions of people are killed in the name of an ideology, it's not a strawman to point that out. It's a serious problem.
>>
>>2871744
>How would Fascism be looked upon if it wasn't Fascism?

This is probably the ideology you're looking for.

Fascism killed its enemies.

Communism killed its own people.

>the capitalist pr organizations ostensibly called journalistic are supporting people who want to destroy capitalism
>I am rational

>>2872922
>When will leftists get over this victim complex that makes them think they're living the 50's?

Bernie Sanders, who isn't quite a socialist but is still much further left than anyone in the country, was given very, very little airtime during the elections.

Far-left voices, like Richard Wolff, if they are even given airtime, are seldom even allowed to share their ideological bent.

It's not really a victim complex, the media makes an active effort to ignore leftist voices, but is perfectly willing to allow far-from-moderate right-wing voices to rampage freely.

>It's not communists who are being attacked in public simply for their political views.

So I must ask: Do you think white on black crimes or black on white crimes justify being anti-white or anti-black? Or should we look at these things as specific instances, rather than taking them to be representative of the whole?

>And when tens of millions of people are killed in the name of an ideology,

So let's do another thought experiment:

If I call myself a capitalist, and kill tens of millions of people, would you stop supporting capitalism as an ideology? Would you suddenly become unwilling to work with it, and support something different?

I actually want to see your answer.

Now let me extend this:

What If I told you that the total death toll of British Indian famines alone ranges from 50-70 million people? Would you stop supporting capitalism then?

Probably not. Just like with the first instance.

So allow me to make a request: Stop using this shitty argument. If your only reason for not adopting socialism/communism is "they've killed people :DDD" you really need to re-evaluate why you support capitalism.
>>
>>2872944
Why do you think there is a difference if the enemies are citizens of your nation?
>>
>>2872944
>they weren't our own people, they were evil sjws
Fascists confirmed for proto-fedoras
>>
>>2872946
>implying that multi-million dollar media corporations are afraid of LARPers
You guys support multiculturalism and decline of traditional values. So does the mainstream media. In fact, most "communists" support that above actually implementing communism. The establishment doesn't give a shit about communism because it will never actually happen. You're just pawns for their campaign against tradition. There would have been only a fraction of the amount of protests from Antifa if Hillary had won the election. Face it, people like Hillary Clinton and Emanuel Macron are on your side.

>>2872948
Far-left voices, unlike far-right voices, are not being suppressed. The establishment allows the left to play around in their play pens, but are the first to suppress right-wing voices wherever they may be found. There's a difference between being ignored and being suppressed.

Also, I don't support capitalism. In fact, I hate it equally as much as communism. The problem is that all those people that died under communism died because of communism. Stalin used collectivization to starve all those Ukrainians to death. Mao's Great Leap Forward killed even more people. And every communist tyrant in history executed their political prisoners because they were a threat to the ideology.

But that's not the main reason why I don't like communism. Communism is a fundamentally nihilistic ideology, and that's a detriment to spirituality. Spirituality should really be the only source of meaning for a human being, because it's the only thing that separates us from animals. If not for that, we mind as well venture back into the caves of our "biological ancestors". If people die for the sake of a nihilistic cause, then that makes me hate it even more.

Capitalism is inherently nihilistic, which is why I dislike it equally as much. If the East India Company starves 50-70 million people to death, that makes me hate capitalism even more.

>>2872949
Citizenship isn't your blood
>>
>>2872948
Nobody who isn't an actual retard supports capitalism entirely. Most people have a mixed-economy view.

>>2873068
You need to stop grouping communist and social-democrats together because you make all of us look bad. Communism isn't as hated as fascism, this is truth, but saying that all the dumb college kids are communist because they have "some" communist ideas is doing the same the people who think Hitler was the only fascists do.
>>
corporatism and totalitarianism isn’t very popular maybe if the night of the long knife didn’t happen it could have some popularity in the mainstream.
>inb4 the democrats and the republicans are the most popular parties in America.
>>2872164
Communism isn’t always authoritarian.

If the average goverment got it's way you couldn't either. But usually goverments react slowly and once they do they don't do things that would piss off the vast majority of the population.

this

Communism did it in a by far longer period of time in countries with much greater populations
