The Bagavad Gita is Hinduism in a nutshell
Like John 3:16 in the Bible but longer
Lots of good answers guys, this is a nice board. If anyone here is a practicing hindu, how would I be viewed in my local mandir as a white dude? Would they think I'm LARPing?

No one would bat an eyelid if you go to an ISKCON temple. But those guys are a bunch of hipster fags anyway.
As for the other temples, I don't think anyone would care. They would just think you want to visit the temple as a tourist.
Just follow the proper decorum like removing the shoes at the designated cloak/shoes room.
