Why is it that atheists think that religious illiteracy is a good starting point to discuss religion?
I mean, I love Lindybeige, but when he starts talking about things he clearly doesn't and doesn't want to understand, he just makes me willing of bashing his head with a croquet mallet.
The worst part is that his retarded fanbase will take his word for it and ignore his various prefaces about not being an expert.
That's my real problem with all these internet history "experts". With the exception of a few people like Matt Easton and Knyght Errant, the vast majority of them truly have no idea what they're talking about. And even when they're self aware enough to remind people that they're not professional historians, their fans just ignore that.

So then why do you love lindy? I have trouble thinking of a single video where he isn't talking about something he clearly doesn't understand and doesn't want to.

>listening for 35 minutes the ramblings of a madman
Can't you just post a tl;dr?

Hey you forgot he knows exactly what hes talking about. He does reanactments of them. That just like the real thing for sure.

I like most of his videos, really. Many of his most popular ones are packed with sources and data, he's just doing the divulging.

Or he's busting myths that are common in popular culture, and I learn new things since I'm not an historian

Or he's just trying things on his person and giving honest feedback, what can you say to him?

No one believes in god an nobody ever did.

This.
I miss his shorter points, though.
I can't blame him for giving in to much sponsors, but does it have to be 30 minutes every time?

I think that YouTube videos over a certain length get a lot more ad revenue

I don't know. I lean towards atheism and I feel embarrassed for people trying to argue when they can't even bother reading some scholarly literature on the topic if they don't feel like reading the source material.
