I know I am not very smart for this board but I have a friend that is a Kurdish rebel and basically she found a sword that is most likely a reproduction. But it had Nordic runes etched into the guard.
Here is what I found the runes were: ᚠᛅᚢᛒᚫᛕᛁᛘ
I will be posting all the pictures she sent me.
She found it all rusted up rapped in linen before her and her friends cleaned it up.
I asked and apparently it was found at around 6 feet underground

modern wallhanger. sorry friend.

I have been asking her a lot of questions, the tang is full and pommel is riveted, as well as the center of balance is on the guard.

21st century, likely from China, fantasy wallhanger. sorry friend.

She replaced the leather cause it was degraded. also I am just trying to find what the runes say anyways.
Yeah that looks like a replica of some kind. I'm not sure but it looks like a replica of one of the swords from the Lord of the Rings movies.
You'd expect the opposite but in my experience every sword I've seen coming out of India or the Middle East or Africa is a cheap tourist trap wallhanger. You're more likely to find the genuine article in France or the UK.
That's definitely a mass-produced scabbard because I have one just like it, probably from Pakistan originally, they make a lot of this stuff there.

Almost look like a poor replica of Gandalfs sword

They have some of the finest blades ever made, but you wont get those for cheap.
