The Ethiopians won a single battle against an unprepared foe. Italy was shit in World War II, but the Second Italo-Ethiopian War wasn't even close. Even if you remove all the Ethiopian soldiers killed by mustard gas, they lost 20 soldiers for every Italian they killed.
