Europe became rich in much of the 15th into the 17th centuries. Ideas and Cukture spread like wild fire. They dont call the time between the end of the black death and the beginning of colonization the age of Renaissance and enlightenment for no reason.

Multiculurialism is strength actually if we look at the black death. Undivided world cant produce super diseases to wipe out populations. Just look at what happened to isolated America. 90% of population gone because of first contact with a stronger multucultural society who experienced all the old worlds diseases.
