Im retaking my high school exam in History. I basically just have to learn as much as possible about world history from 1750-1945, specifically the significant things, like the industrial revolution & rise of democracy. Im Norwegian & its a Norwegian class, so I also need to know all about how these events tie to Norwegian history.
I kinda know it fairly well, but im trying to improve my grades, so im going for an A. I am currently reading the coursebook, but if anyone here knows any interesting books/articles that relate to these subjects, i would be very interested in reading that as well, to gain a more nuanced understanding of everything.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated

you might be right. this is literally my first time ever on /his/, but i figured it might be a good place to ask. but similar attempts to obtain information from other specific boards have usually resulted in failure, so.... ill keep this tab open till 404 just in case

/his/ is actually really great for learning and arguing about specific niche topics like the history of Christianity in Japan or which Spanish monarchs were literal inbred retards, but "world history from 1750-1945" is not exactly something we can help with. All we could recommend you are textbooks... the topic you are asking about is just much too broad

yea fair point. i was just kinda hoping maybe someone here has read a good book about the french revolution/american revolution/industrial revolution/napoleon/etc thats also a good read. i find history interesting, but less interesting than other things, so i kinda see the next months as an opportunity to read up a bunch on history, because im probably never gonna do it otherwise

Try asking on /b/ I had a civil thread there once about the Roman Republic and Kingdom. Or just check wikipedia.
