Was Bukharin based? How would the USSR be different under his guidance?
Smart guy, helped oust Kamenev, Trotsky, and Zinoviev (for obvious reasons :^))realized market reforms were necessary and created the NEP, leader of the Right Opposition, opposed collectivization and was subsequently murdered by Stalin.
>British author Martin Amis argues that Bukharin was perhaps the only major Bolshevik to acknowledge "moral hesitation" by questioning, even in passing, the violence and sweeping reforms of the early Soviet Union. Amis writes that Bukharin said "during the Civil War he had seen 'things that I would not want even my enemies to see'."[39]
Huh, with all the leftists here you would figure this would be a popular thread.
Unless the leftists aren't really (((leftists))).

>Bukharin
not a leftist

>not real communism
Glad you said he wasn't a leftist though, he was the only sane Bolshevik.
He was alright I guess. Responsible for the kulaks gaining power and thus for their violent end as well though.
He was too good for this cruel and heartless world.

He was a literal communist
