If the entire world switched to a free market right now american living standards would fall dramatically and china would be the biggest superpower on earth.
The average chinese person would have insanely high living standards and the country would have a massive service sector economy.
Why? Because they produce so much. Right now all they do is produce goods and send them to america so americans can consume them.
