Why didn't Mr. President listen to him?
>inb4 drop nukes on chinks and north korean commies.

Because it literally would of caused WW3
>>2674263
Even if what he was suggesting wasn't insanity, MacArthur had just presided over possibly the most embarrassing defeat in U.S. history through sheer incompetence, having previously presided over the largest defeat in U.S. history about ten years before. Why the fuck would anyone listen to him? He should've been fired years ago desu.

> in 1960, he challenged a statement by Truman that he had advocated using atomic bombs. Truman issued a retraction, stating that he had no evidence of the claim; it was merely his personal opinion.
Both Truman and the Joint Chiefs had sent nukes to be possibly used in Korea, the whole "Macarthur being a warmonger" is a lie. Truman fired him because he was going over Truman's head talk to foreign officials and seeking more public approval to push the Chinese back.

Doubt it. The USSR had no deliverable nukes at that point.
>>2674285
They had the largest and most horrifyingly effective conventional military of all time though
At this point in history nukes would have ceased being a meaningful factor within the first 6 months
>>2674285
>The USSR had no deliverable nukes at that point.
As the sacking of MacArthur showed, neither did America.
>>2674267
Soviets didn't care that much about NK

Stalin was extremely cautious, unfortunately. He would not have risked everything in a grand push to the channel.
Instead he would vocally condemn America's nuclear aggression, and funnel funds to discontents in the west, in an attempt to separate a few nations from the western bloc.
>>2674314
He was already doing that though. In our scenraio the US has nuked china, so the US and China are now in a state of full scale war
You seriously believe Stalin would stay out of that? He was smart enough to realise it would be his best chance to actually topple the west
>>2674344
Yes, I think he'd stay the fuck out. China would not lose overnight, and every day of the conflict will further aggravate public opinion. Joe would play the benevolent peacemaker, and do his best to isolate the US. He would not risk a war.

Why must you attack my perfectly innocent global war fantasy
