> kidnaps an entire nation and it's culture because the government is bad
> Americans are evil because they're always holding coups and world-policing smaller countries
Will communists ever recover?
Free Tibet? I'll take two!

Not really analogous situations, since whether you agree or disagree the Chinese claim that Tibet has historically been a part of China is at least not totally unreasonable.
America can't make any similar claims for [insert Latin American or Middle Eastern country they're intervening in this week].
>>2666401
Which model does China use for their claims? The only empire I can think of that would have owned Tibet would've held way more modern Asian countries I don't see China getting all fired up over.
>>2666188
American imperialism is far worse.

>America can't make any similar claims for [insert Latin American or Middle Eastern country they're intervening in this week].
>implying
Latin America, Europe, the Pacific rim and the Middle East are just American tributary states.

Uh ... how about the Qing Empire, dude? You know, the dynasty that immediately preceded the RoC?
And in case you hadn't noticed, the Chinese (both flavors!) have had (and in most cases still have) disputed border claims with other contemporary nations that their territory historically overlapped with, e.g. India, North Korea, Bhutan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Mongolia, the Philippines, Japan, Malaysia, Tajikistan (and several other -stans), Bhutan, and of course Taiwan.
Fuck, it's harder to find countries in Asia that they HAVEN'T had border disputes with.

Not anymore. Trump is reigniting the anti american nationalist left in latin america.
>any country claiming to be communist but makes communism look bad
>actually communist
>>2666425
Ummm, the Qing Empire, which the PRC inherited all legal rights from in 1971 according to the UN.
>>2666188
>LE COMMIES TOOK TIBET.
Try harder faggot.
Also Tibetans handed their own asses over because the Lamas destroyed the unified country in their shitty monastic wars that when the Gurkhas were taking a shot at creating an Empire, they ran screaming to the Qing Dynasty for help, who said they would, but only if they accept Chinese sovereignity.

>>2666427
>literally cant fucking wait to get out of the countries it's intervened in
that's not how imperialism works, lad
>>2666188
A Nazi documentary mentions the Tibetan people fearing the Lamas' power to unleash demons.

Many people lived in destitute poverty. Tibet wasn't a free prosperous republic before the Chinese came. The Chinese have modernized it more than anyone else.
Had this not happened it probably would have resembled Bhutan today, only recently beginning to modernize and develop, and with minimal regulation or oversight, a burgeoning exploitation racket.

Learned something desu
>>2668451
China has a history of coming to its tribute's territory dispute. Korea/Vietnam/Tibet/Mongolia/etc
Invades Tibet. Tibet is literally feudal. Tibetan youth are happy. Tibetan youth destroy monasteries n shirt. Buddhists "Muh Tibet" "Muh feudalism". Fuck off Tibet needed to be destroyed
>>2666188
RoC claims Tibet too though
