Music is not black and white, it's not classical or Bieber. Just cause all the classical composers passed away doesn't mean the train stops.
There are tons of people that have created new classical forms of music.

there's this thing called contemporary classical that you have heard in virtually every major movie in the last 30 years, the genre didn't just die. Also classical metal is popular in Japan/northern europe along with hair metal, etc. All music was formed on the foundations of either classical or literally black slaves on plantations. Those are the two sources for all modern music, and they never really died but just morphed with new genres.

In any case I still listen to classical because it's still absolutely beautiful and relaxing and is proven to be more mentally engaging than any other music.
