Why has the US gone to war with every other country on the continent

Why has the US gone to war with every other country on the continent (including the European empires) except for El Salvador, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Jamaica, and a handful of tiny island meme nations? Even most of those get lumped in if you count privateers, filibusters, etc.
