Where do Abyssinian people originate from? Was pic related really

They seem like a mixture of Africans and Semitic people like Arabs. They have the narrow noses and caucasian face but black, African skin colour. My guess is because of the horn of Africa's closeness to Yemen the two enteric groups breed together over time.

Why was Abyssinia so great and Somalia so shit?
