You don't need to follow their rationale, but it's not hard to understand it. There are fables in the fucking bible itself where a faithful man gets completely buttfucked as a test of his faith. This life is fleeting, the important stuff comes after you kick the bucket. As far as Christians are concerned, an untimely death is just as much "God's plan" as some sort of divine intervention that prevents it.
