Why didn't Germany convince the Soviet Union to join the Axis? Fuck ideology it would've helped Germany in the long run.
> it would've helped Germany in the long run.
I'll take "Things that make a poor incentive for the Soviets" for 500.

They did but Hitler decide to attack the Soviets instead peace out the western allies.
>forget about ideology in a war thats only basis for even starting was said ideology
You're a special kind of stupid. You're aaking for a pragmatic alliance between two very different and competing ideas and sets of values. Yet the only reason Hitler rose to power and the whole reason the war started was over those beliefs.
Hitler allying with Communists would be like trying to get Muslims to ally with Jews. Sure, pragmatically it makes sense, but pragmatism takes a backseat to other values that are seen as more important. And Communists weren't just some force Nazis didn't care about, it was at the top of their shitlist. And to ally with Communists would be to basically say that Nazism was irrelevant because if you sacrifice your anti-Communist stance for pragmatic reasons, you lose any real reason for Nazism to exist since there are equally pragmatic reasons to not even be at war to begin with over an ideology that is so easily sacrificed for convenience.

They did. The Soviets sent an offer asking to join and Hitler never responded LOL

Because literally Germany's whole goal was to wipe out the subhuman eastern races and colonize their lands with Germans. There's no war without that goal.
Yes, this Axis would have meant a true World war. It was because of peacetime resource for tech trades between them that Reich could ever mount a serious invasion and Union successfully industrialized.
But, no, you can't fuck ideology, it just doesn't budge. Pic related.
More problems:
> Germany in all its autist wisdom was also banking on the Britain they were navally competing with to ally their asses. It wasn't the Brits that queefed hardest at Stalin before he went with Molotov-Ribbentrop, it was Poland!
> Germany was irrational, arrogant, but still brilliant enough to go balls out in Sudetenland
> Japan

Hitler offered the soviets but Stalin would only do so for a free hand in Finland and Romania and sweden in his sphere.
Funny that, Hitler needed the nordics for steel and Romania for oil. Comrade stalin was willing to take both of the thigns Germany absolutely needed to wage war.
Hilter counter offered with guarantees of independance for those states and the USSR could have all of India when Britian was defeated but Stalin wasn't interested.
You'd have to have been dumb as shit to accept Stalin's offer.

Strasser and Rohm wanted to ally with them but Hitler considered them the home nation of degeneracy and bolshevism.

Germany was expansionist, SU was expansionist, especially with Stalin at the helm, Germany wanted the oil fields.
Is there any proof to the claim that the sowjets planned to attack germany and Hitler just made the first move?
