>bad things happen because God "gave us free will"
>still can't will 99.99% of anything
Why didn't we get actual free will? It's not that hard to imagine, you'd just make the world like a lucid dream. It would solve all the moral problems of existence by giving everyone a way to actually determine the course of their lives.
Well it's understandable that evil things happen, you know God can't be everywhere at once. Sometimes he has the best intentions but he can't predict the future, right? Cut god some slack, he's trying his best here with what he got to work with.
It was actually Nietzsche who helped make me a theist. I think he's absolutely correct that pleasure and pain are thoroughly intertwined. I doubt if it's possible to live a meaningful life without pain.

That sound like hell on earth. Look how we've fucked things up even with our limited capabilities.

We fucked up because we were limited, not because we were too powerful. It's a lot harder to fuck up in a meaningful and long term way when you have the power to unfuck things up.

Bad things happen because God wants them to. Look at all the violence, hatred, and suffering in the Bible, clearly, that's what God wants.
You were given freewill but your will is enslaved to sin.

>god hates sin
>allows people to sin
Why not just make it so people can't sin?

cause you're made in his image

Does God love to sin too?
He thinks it's funny.
