Might be a stupid question, but do we know how the Roman senate looked like? Do we have plans from contemporaries or remaining ruins from it?
as I understand it the forum existed well past the 1400s

There's lots of well preserved ruins. I imagine there are written accounts as well, we have accounts of what went on in the senate so why not what it looked like.

Romans wrote down everything plus preserved ruins and such.
Of course no depiction can ever be COMPLETELY perfect.

You can literally just go to the curia in Rome and look. The Curia Iuliana, one of the curiae, is well-preserved. Of course, it has been restored a bit in recent times.
