Capitalism passively promotes feminism since in that system better work means better results and limiting 50% of the potential workforce in an economy that is based on mostly mental contributions is not worth it. Ideally in either capitalism or communism the female workforce would be unleashed into the greater economy by having most household tasks be professionalized, so a smaller dedicated service of well paid professionals can do the domestic chores for society, allowing people to pursue fields better suited to their talents and inclinations.

However in both capitalist and socialist countries, large-scale adoption and national pushes for this kind of rationalization of domestic life have historically floundered.
