Pretty much. It was pretty humiliating, it could not have ended worse. They sacrificed everything to "win" world war 2. If they hadn't gone autistic for poland's sake, they would have still had their empire.

Nope. Labour was planning on dissolvung the empire and Britain couldn't supress most of the revolts if they happened. The Brittish empire was a paper tiger. It looked strong but was pretty weak and pathetic in reality. Britain is probably stronger nowadays than in 1939
