Ilyrians, Thracians, Dacians in the Balkans. Not much is known about these groups except what the Romans and Greeks wrote about them.
Slavs didn't just come into existence, they were hanging out in the Pripyat marshes the whole time before experiencing a population explosion in the Late Roman/Byzantine era and flooding in.
Otherwise they were Uralic or Celtic or Eastern Germanic people, not much is known about them either.
The Balts were relatively recent arrivals to the Baltic as their languages don't have enough old Germanic loans to justify a presence deep into pre-history.
In my view, Poland was a para-Celtic land all the way to Estonia and maybe beyond. Hallstat, Urnfield, Lusatia all have a Celtic or para-Celtic identity.
