So I was playing A Medieval 2 Mod set in Asia and theirs an African faction called the Kingdom of Makuria, located in modern day Sudan. Apparently they managed to do what the Sassanids and Byzantines couldn't do and decisively beat the Rashidun.
So /his/, were they true kings?
yeah of course.
>khamehamehameha

desu I only put that there to bait /pol/tards here and watch the inevitable shitstorm ensue.
Well, they beat back two smallish raids in their territory, and the Muslims decided it wasn't really worth it to go further down the Nile. No great cities to pillage there, and they had better conquests to do. So that just had the Nubians sign a treaty of pretty much subservience and went back home. Remember that the early Muslim conquest were fueled by lust for loot just as much as they were fueled by faith.
I guess that's pretty impressive, sure. Especially for a tribal kingdom, even a regionally dominant one. I wouldn't call it "decisively beating" the Muslims, though.
