Are there any good and/or easily accessible resources for researching if one has Hanoverian or Hessian military roots? I've tried to simply search such things, but've had difficulty finding anything that seemed substantive or legitimate.

sorry misread your question, thought you were asking about the roots of the hessian army, not family roots, guess you have to track back your family tree, if you want to be 100% sure about it

Yeah, unfortunately "good" records tend to get wonky when you hit the late 1700s, and when you try to go back.
Hence why I'm asking here... if anyone knows of any good methods of search.
