I don't know about that. There are dozens of meme ethnicities in Mesopotamia. Less so in Anatolia but that's because of conflict rather than assimilation

I know, that's why I said "like most".

But most are still semitic and speak similar languages with religion being the main factor of difference.
But outside the standard Caucasus languages, you got everything from the fucking descendant of Scythian/Sarmatian, to Pontic Greek and different Oghuz Turkic dialects.
