You guys know of any particularly good sources on McCarthyism? Preferably essays and journals (optimally primary sources) or court proceedings etc?

Been doing personal research on this tonight, I'd like to know some good places to look
I don't have any books, but I'll redpill you.
Basically he did nothing wrong and captured a bunch of Soviet spies but then (((liberals))) ruined his reputation and let them all go, which allowed the KGB to brainwash blacks into wanting to vote and creating welfare.

exactly my suspicions, this is what I'm hinting at. Hopefully other anons might be able to assist.

John Earl Haynes. He's THE historian for McCarthyism and was the department head for the Library of Congress' 20th Century U.S. Political History for decades. He wrote several works on McCarthy and McCarthyism. One such work compares those named by McCarthy with those outed as security risks in the Venona Papers and there's a shit ton of overlap.

this is awesome anon thanks a ton I'll probably be picking up some of these books. In the meantime, you know of any abbreviated versions of his work? I guess more of the (((quick rundown))) kek
Came out in the 90s that he was 100% right

I don't. He has a few short essays on his website that could potentially be considered abbreviations. A lot of academics tend to avoid Haynes work despite his credibility because it doesn't fit the political narrative.
