They rose to power due to the great depression, opposition to the treaty of Versailles and drive to reunify Germany, with most of those objectives attained the Nazis would gradually lose popularity among the middle class who the Nazis couldn't really suppress without going full commie. It would transition to democracy like Franco's regime, probably a bit earlier, maybe in the 60s.

The thing I want to know is would Nazi Germany survive without Hitler? Hitler was the one guy holding it together since he could single handedly whip the country into a hyper nationalistic frenzy, if some much less charismatic person like Himmler or Hess or someone took over, how quickly would it fall apart? The USSR basically entered a major leadership crisis after Stalin died and by the 80s the people didn't give a flying fuck about the communist cause anymore.

What makes you think Soviets would be ready after 3rd P'atiletka? It had expanded the military substantially, but it did not made them ready for a total war against what was believed to be the most powerfull military on Earth.

Germany probably would've just collapsed right back into a million pieces just like post-Napoleon Central Europe, and we'd be left with a second Balkan Quagmire as people use the collapse as a casus belli for the inevitable war with the Soviet Union a la Crimea.

Realistically, it would be some time before the war reached Germany. Soviets would carve their way through the Baltics and Poland first. At this point, all the Soviets really needed to do was kick their industry into gear for the war. The only thing I'd worry about is Soviet grand strategy being capable of actually working without the time necessary for them to work out the kinks into Deep Battle.
