your favorite underrated/lesser-known philosopher
mine is Fichte. specialists are familiar with the name but almost nobody realizes how essential this guy is
>Fichte
>Lesser known
What? My third-world high school had an entire class devoted solely to him, and we sure as hell weren't """specialists."""

Non-american detected

Duns Scotus
Not really "lesser known" but just always overshadowed by Aquinas.
Plotinus

OP here--in anglo countries you could go through an entire philosophy degree and not hear the guy's name once

Is diogenes of sinope "lesser known"? I'm not much for philosophy, but he's certainly my favourite.

In any country that had Nationalism(aka all non-anglo countries), there's a better chance the average person has heard of Fiche.
