How much resistance against the Nazis was there from the German people themselves?

A little bit here and there but most people who had legit reasons to be against the regime like Gommies and Kikes were thrown into camps. As I recall there was gangs of kids who rebelled against the societal norms by listening to foreign music and smoking and stuff if you count that as resistance.
The most significant event I can think of is when members of the German High Command attempted to assassinate Hitler because they weren't pleased with how he was handling the war.

But yeah there were no Hugo Stiglitz wannabes
For most average people who were not mentally retarded, Jewish, or Communist, life was pretty okay aside from the constant bombing, intense rationing, and fear of being conscripted. Even if you didn't like the nazis you had other things to worry about.
And yeah, there's one thing I forgot to mention. A lot of people hid Jews in their homes and I believe there was groups something like the underground railroad in the 19th century that tried to hide Jews and get them out of the country.

The German people is a very submissive one
They never resisted even against a foreign occupier (be it the French during Napoopan Wars and after WW1 or Americans and Soviets after WW2), so they certainly arent gonna resist against their own government

>never resisted
are you fucking retarded?
German resistance was actually pretty fucking huge.
>500,000-600,000 political prisoners in concentration camps
>one third of Hitler Youth members part of the Edelweiss pirates
>Dozens of assassination attempts on Hitler from high level military coups to lone wolfs
>125,000 workers organised in an anti-Nazi front
>German resistance working with allies caused German forces 200,000 combat deaths according to Nazi estimates themselves

This exactly. The Soviet military command expected HEAVY civilian resistance/partisan warfare after conquering Germany and were shocked when the Germans just shrugged and said "okay".
This is exactly the opposite mentality of the Anglos who instinctively distrust any authority even if there's no reason to.

As if Anglos would have resisted in such a situation
>>2401336
Anglos in America literally launched into a revolution and created their own country just because the taxes were too high.

>>German resistance working with allies caused German forces 200,000 combat deaths according to Nazi estimates themselves
How cucked do you have to be actively try to get your own countrymen killed

Different situation

I don't think it was too significant.
They would have still lost even if the entire population was 100% dedicated to the National Socialist cause.
Also can I have the source on the book? Must have been some pretty serious information to cause so many deaths.
Were they communists within the German army or something?
