tfw a daoist anarchist who lives beyond "good" or "evil", does good without intention, is infinitely spontaneous and creative like a child, incredibly smart but knows nothing, wise without any pretense of being wise, true to himself, and completely one with the Dao.

We should just ban every single poster on this board that has a history on /pol/

How about History & Philosophies?
>>
>>2378104
Philosophy is the autism that is destroying this board.

Literally every single person I know that is into philosophy is either extremely autistic or extremely arrogant.

On top of that they cannot form an intellectual sentence when it comes to historical notes, they only focus on literature instead of archaeology.
>>
>>2378059
That's a whole lot of words to describe autism.

Historians - Humanity and its history as perfect creations, acknowledging its struggles and the varieties of political views through time.

Philosophers - Life fucking sucks, get over it. Everything else than a anarcho-capitalistic state is retarded.

Even if they are (which is fine I guess) AT LEAST religion and philosophy must be one board. Political Ideology and Economic ideology must be welcomed as well. That's a thread I would go on desu.

The Humanities part itself is not bad by any means. Its just that this site is populated by man-children who have only a cursory knowledge of the humanities or academia for that matter.

I know a great documentary about a bunch of people in the ghetto who over the course of two decades got rid of the drug dealers, cleared the empty lots full of garbage, secured some employment, and instilled civic virtue in the youth all while weathering the 2009 hosing crisis and economic depression. This would be perfect for the "&Humanities" part of the board to discuss but it would involve discipline to watch (its over 3 hours), knowledge of community organizing/urban renewal, and doesn't involve memes nor masturbating to Rome. It also shows minorities in a good light so the /pol/ brigade would flip their shit yet again, so it would be lost here.

Every time we have an African history thread we are flooded with dipshits who precisely irrationally hate all minorities and don't want them to have success in their own communities".

We are constantly waist deep in people who think the Confederacy did nothing wrong, think that all those lynchings were justified, and want Jim Crow back. And don't tell me they are being ironic because they are always sincere until they are called out and may loose political face for their bullshit movement.

We can't have a single conversation involving blacks that doesn't devolve into /pol/ entirely regardless of how we try to keep it on track or ignore them.
>>
>>2379947
Not him but these semen guzzlers constantly accuse me of being from there even though I'm not. Really makes you think if it's really /pol/acks who are the problem, or newfag trash who accuse every "problematic" posting of being /pol/ because reddit told them it's a containment board and no racism exists outside of it.
>>
>>2380019
>/pol/ has poster IDs just like reddit
>/pol/ has flags to increase nationalism and flaming tendencies
>/pol/ attracts and fascinates reddit conservatives that need an outlet for their racism
/pol/ is attracting the newfags and it is a containment board according to global rule 3 racism shouldn't exist. Mods are tolerating it on /pol/ because it's impossible to discuss politics without it

/rg/ belongs with /lit/ or /ph/, /cel/ wouldn't work as an independent board, /tv/ is far from perfect but seperating film and tv isn't the solution

/pol/ doesnt use government funding

And what the hell is wrong with hugboxes?

Lets apply this logic to having a home, you can say that your own house is a sort of sheltering from the "criticisms" or effects of the world. Are you in a hugbox, because you want to be left alone in your house? Maybe you should live on the street, if you want to live a more honest lifestyle then.

They defer because they are cowards who arent willing to enforce the law THEMSELVES, they abstract it away thinking themselves innocent and enlightened for not engaging in the dirty work of a civilization's upkeep.

I dont mind if they do this, what i mind is them pretending to be above barbarism only because they abstract it to cops.

Stephen Hawking: "Philosophy is dead."

I think that is a polite way of saying most modern philosophy people are full of bullshit.

Really Philosophy turned into semantics games to try to prove themselves smarter than everyone else while providing little in tangible benefits to society.

so because you and an autistic guy in a wheelchair have some wild opinions, other people shouldn't be able to discuss something near you? literally the same shit as tumblrina logic.

there are a couple of red flags in your post reflecting your poor education in the field(an argument from authority and a reference to some objective form of subjective "social benefits" having inherent value). these mistakes might not have been made had you had some apparently "bullshit" philosophy education. things you have said that objectively don't make sense. in a single 4chan post, on an ironic subject.

Actually, there is a serious problem with the authority fallacy.

I think it was intended to mean authority like in government, but it was used to dismiss people who were career experts in the field.

It's like saying a rocket scientist PHD can't be used as an argument when he says going to the moon isn't easy. If he is an expert in the field and says so, well yeah... We should listen to him.

The fallacy was made up when people were in general jack of all trade shit. Now its not so simple.

you don't understand the material. an argument from authority cannot be logically valid under any circumstances. a zoologist can give you a fact, and say "i'm right because I'm a zoologist and I know more about this than you", and he might be right, but his argument is not valid. he might also say something like "a zebras are purple with green spots, i'm right because I'm a zoologist and I know more about this than you", reflecting the inherent problem with an argument from authority.

another thing to add is who an authority is on a field is entirely subjective. I don't see how stephen hawking is an authority in the philosophy field, and I'd even argue that he has bias.

How can you talk about the current Pope or the modern Anglican church without violating the date rule other than invoking the date rule?

If /religion/ got its own board, they could freely discuss modern religious concerns while also talking about the history of their religion.

Yeah, i think that after a youth where one is beat over the head with leftist ideals through school, and the effect these ideals have had on things ranging from romantic to communal relationships, id say they have a pretty good reason to go out and do that.

The left subtly taken everything dear to the upbringing of a healthy human being, in order to create a more plastic and "equal" man.

And no, i dont think the "right" is capitalist, like most moderns think.

Right and left correspond to the psychological attitudes toward existence, fight and flight.
>>
>>2382825
comparing the pope to previous popes, speculating on where the arc of catholic influence lies in contemporary society, the changes the religion is going through < these are all history and humanities.

the pope making statements on islamic terrorism or the anti-papacy rhetoric going on in rome, these are contemporary political events that are not relevant to history and humanities.

it's not that difficult to figure out. threads like these and people crying are more destructive than anything else. it's just boogeyman raving and ranting. like /tv/ with reddit, /g/ with /v/, /r9k/ with chad, it's just autistic screeching at something that might not even be there in the first place.
