What are you trying to achieve with this thread?

I don't understand why Germany tried to occupy half of France. Should have just destroyed the border defenses and used it as a chip to come to peace with the UK.

They already bled fighting off the germs in WW1, it was Russia's turn this time.

nor something that can be realistically done while you are being rapidly overrun by an invading army, the Russians and Chinese were able to do it in very different circumstances than what France was facing. That said the French capitulation did seem to be quite premature.

the final defence they gave after the encirclement was already desperate, to the point that it was more of a symbolic move than anything.

Moving their navy and as much of their army as possible overseas is the best they could have done
