What's the verdict on the Turan/Ural-Altaic theory? Is it true? Are Hungarians and Finns actually Chinese?

Dumbass, just because someone is in china, that doesn't make them chinese. Also, the whole familt is in dispute, while we know that the tungustic, mongolic, turkic and uralic languages are related to their own family trees, there hasn't been much evidence linking all the families together, especially uralic to the other three.

lad that map does not even include Chinese in to the Ural-Altaic group.
Turan is a state of mind.
Uralic people are thus Turanians if they take the Turan-pill.
Besides, there's definitely no lack of connections.

Micro-Altaic, that is just Turkic, Mongolic, and Tungusic has largely been discredited. Macro-Altaic, including Uralic, Korean, and Japonic is so far into crank territory you might as well be a Nostraticist.

>Ural-Altaic
Maybe as a sprachbund, definitely not a language family.
