Civil wars tended to be winner take all. Any of the dynastic struggles in say, the Ottoman, Roman, or your pick of Chinese empires.
You also have the Alexandrian conquest of Persia, and a bunch of the wars that the Russians had against the splinter states of those old Mongolian hordes in the 15th and 16th centuries. Probably more that I'm not aware of.

frankly WW1 could be seen as a winner take all conflict too.
WW1 was the last time that old world absolute monarchies duked it out full scale against democratic nations. If that war had somehow gone the other way then the death-knell of absolute monarchy would be delayed possibly another century or two, and the world order as we know it would be dramatically different.
