The prosperity after the war only happened because all the debt accrued by those other countries that was owed to us. We still had to make a bit of a sacrifice to ensure our investment could be returned later.

Not to mention we hardly rationed at all and our cities were untouched. We paid a tiny price for the return on our investment.

The reason WW2 turned out so nicely for Americans at home isn't because they threw a gorillion dollars at beating the Axis. It's because the government from day one asked "how can we use the mobilization to help our country instead of wrecking it?" The result was that instead of a Greater Depression America became comically wealthy. The whole concept of war prosperity was so counter-intuitive to people of the time that the government was prepared to deal with riots after the country demobilized.

The Russian approach was to simply refuse to 100% demobilize. Ever.

You need to adjust the order of those. FDR's economic nostrums did nothing to "cure" the great depression, though they served to prevent some number of people from starving, which was worth doing.

Eventually, the war economy put an end to the depression.

Undoubtedly one of the biggest stains on FDR's record, a violation of civil rights born mostly out of racial hatred & suspicion exacerbated by Pearl Harbor & the war. While not excusing the internment at all, they affected only a tiny minority of citizens & the idea came from local authorities who impressed the need of the camps onto Roosevelt (though he ultimately still bears responsibility, it's obviously much different than Hitler's internment camps)
