The swastika flag was entirely associated with Hitlers regime, the rising sun flag is a bit older. It's like getting butthurt about the bundeswehr still using the iron cross motifs.

twas the flag that took away pretty much all their land in WW2, but no it's not as bad as the nazi flag.Japan was more like a WW1 Germany than a WW2 one. The Rise of fascism was a much greater evi than that of imperialism.
