Why do certain individuals try to portray certain civilizations as Black in origin?
>>2309651
To give themselves a sense of pride in their "heritage."
Whether or not it's true doesn't matter to them. Feeling good does. Bullshitting hard enough that they believe it themselves only serves that purpose.
Otherwise it is usually just shitposting.
laugh all you want at ridiculous WE WUZisms, but the modern academic discipline of history only really developed in the mid-late 19th century so that leaders could come up with nationalistic origin stories for their country to further an us vs them narrative. Prior to that "history" was mainly just studying the classics.

>White people have done it for hundreds of years
>Surprised blacks have started doing it

And studying the classics meant everything was SUPER We Wuz.
>We Wuz Trojans
T. Welsh
>We wuz Scythians
T. Irish
>We wuz Odin
T. Tudors

>White people have done it for hundreds of years
it goes much further back than that
>the Aeneid
>WE WUZ TROJANS AND SHIT

Why are there two threads with Costanza in the OP?
The WE WUZ meme is cancer on every board except /his/. We are apparently the only board that understand most peoples are guilty of it at one point or another.

>actually be related to a group of people = Blacks claiming to be Egyptians, Chinese, babylonians, et al.
Really grasping at straws, Jamal.
