Communists in general never defend Stalin, only Stalinists do. He is regarded as a complete drawback for communism and socialism.

What it does happen is that non communists will always attack communism citing Stalin and his wrongdoings, then communists would reply Stalin did not apply communism, or that he only wanted power, that Lenin himself didn't wanted him in a ruling position and so on, and this is always taken as lame excuse ending with "nah, you like communism and Stalin was a communist, period"

Soviets meaning the good men of Cheka. Solzenitsyn quite clearly - without access to archives - wrote about this in the first and fifth part of the Arhipelag GULag.

Taken into account size of the population, Finns were the most persecuted minority in Soviet Union. They were exiled just like Volga Germans as 'quilty nationalities'. Alone those who were citizens (previously) of Republic of Finland (Reds going to Russia in the 20's and 30's, kidnapped Finnish citizens and WW2 POW) , made over 20 thousand of prisoners, of which over 15000 died in the Soviet concentration camps.

No they didn't. When churches were turned in to car parks in major cities, synagogues were not. Jewish religious practice was not persecuted before the last moments of Stalin's life, in which point exodus to Israel had already began.
Right after Bolshevik coup, those deemed having practiced 'antisemitism' were given death penalty.

More Ukrainians died in the hunger-genocide of 32-33 than Jews in the genocide by Third Reich. From late 1917 all the way to the second world war, 75% of Ukrainian Cheka-GP security men were Jewish. Russians were the second biggest group, Ukrainians the smallest.
So quite literally Jews were responsible for the practical part of the Ukrainian genocide, even if it was decided by the Father of nations.

Depends how you define a Jew. But yes. The Soviets did have an organisation designed to repress Zionism, Hebrew and Judaism.

Which is why I laugh at these silly little conspiracy theories. Once you take away all that, there's nothing distinguishing a Jew from anyone else.
