Has urban guerrilla warfare ever worked?
I only know about failures, like the Montoneros in Argentina, the Tupamaros in Uruguay, the RAF in Germany or the Red Brigades in Italy. It appears to be the least productive revolutionary technique ever devised.
What are the qualifications for success and failure?

I mean you might be able to consider Stalingrad as containing some examples but in general you need larger cities than modern wars are usually fought in (think actual metropolis, not 50 blocks with 5 devoted to skyscrapers) because I mean there are only so many places you can go.

This.
Urban guerrillas didn't overthrow any government or defeat capitalism, but it created a mythology of left-wing heroes that was exploited by communist intellectuals and artists and have consolidated the left as the only possible legitimate political position in Latin America. Both Brazil and Uruguay had Presidents who were former urban guerrillas, for example, while the Green Party of Germany, the favourite of the globalists and who will be part of the next government, is full of former Baader-Meinhof members.
